A Tucson deli with a Long Island heart
Jeremy Kneller-Hernandez grew up in Tucson, but some of his sharpest memories were made three thousand miles away — bagels before a Shea Stadium game, brisket in his grandparents' Queens kitchen, and summers spent around Oyster Bay. Kneller's is his way of bringing that feeling home to Tucson through family recipes, from-scratch cooking, and the familiar spirit of a New York deli.
Long Island summers, Tucson roots
Every summer, Jeremy's grandparents took him to a neighborhood deli before heading out to Oyster Bay or Shea Stadium. That morning ritual — the smell, the ease, the way people lingered and knew each other — never really left him.
The deli feeling
It's not just the food. It's getting your bagel, reading the paper, getting to know the neighborhood, and watching the room fill with familiar faces. That's what Jeremy set out to build on Speedway: a place where you can come to nosh, linger, and feel a little closer to home.
Made from scratch, every day
The bread is baked in-house, and locally sourced beef is brined and prepared in-house. From the bagels and sandwiches to the deli sides and more, Kneller's is built around scratch-made food and the family recipes that inspired it.
